The Main House

Our main house was designed with an impressive thatched roof constructed from the locally grown majeka reed, incorporating 2 magnificent en-suite bedrooms – one with a double bed and luxurious bath, the other with 2 single beds and shower.

The upstairs facility offers a further bedroom affording unbelievable views of the interior of Inhaca Island.

A stunning open plan fully modern kitchen/lounge/dining area is complemented with truly wonderful panoramic views overlooking the Bay of Maputo on the western side of Inhaca Island with Maputo City twinkling on the horizon some 40kms away .

Thatched Chalets

Privately nestled in the nearby bush area you will find two beautiful en-suite, thatched chalets for either couples or singles. Both chalets have access to a further bed in which two children or an extra adult could also be accommodated.

Lodge Facilities:

A large refreshing swimming pool will cool down the summer days whilst you indulge in Cocktails created by our barman from our fully stocked and serviced pool bar.  A Braai (barbecue), serving area and open fire facilities with a cosy boma are located alongside, all conveniently overlooking the magnificent Indian Ocean. Charcoal and firewood/logs are complimentary for evening braais and log fires.

Nahyeeni Lodge offers full DSTV bouquet with extra view facilities located in the Bar. For your convenience we have 3 permanent maids available on duty every day, whilst our night guards watch over the property during the evening hours.

Activities & Excursions At Nahyeeni Lodge, Inhaca Island

• Ocean Transfers & Excursions On "Bug": Skipper (Marinheiro) Goncalves looks after our Yamaha W31 vessel `Bug`. The `Bug` is available at any time to enjoy one of the many excursions, but also for water skiing, tubing and Whale watching (mid-August to November)
• Cruise Excursions: Ponta Torres (Santa Maria), Lighthouse Trip, Coral Gardens / Barreira Vermelha (incredible snorkelling opportunities), and Sunset Cruise
• Sea Kayak & Water Sports: 2 sea kayaks available for usage at your leisure
• Fishing Charters: Fishing opportunities abound around Inhaca Island
• Biology Museum: Take a leisurely walk along the stunning western shores of Inhaca to the museum
